I have heard or read the term
"High Poly Texturing"
multiple times in the last two days. I haven't heard this before. I have also heard people say
"That is how you would texture that for low poly objects."
What is the difference between texturing for your 4000 low poly character, and your 100,000 poly character. Don't you pretty much just attack the monster like you did the little 4000 poly guy, using UV cyclindrical, spherical, Planar, and automatic mapping (maya)? Is there some knew techneque that is being developed for handling high poly count charactors? Thank you

for unwraping its about the same, but depends what your trying to do, lowpoly character for a game you would texture him with highlys and all, will if you want to get a irl aproche you would need a color layer, bumb map layer, reflextion layer, and many other to make it look real and tweaking each to guive what you want and depending in what rendering prog you doing it.
