Hi All,

HDRI is the spotlight feature of CINEMA 4D 8.1, the free update now available free to users of CINEMA 4D R8.

For those of you who've gotten the download, we've just posted an HDRI lighting tutorial. (http://www.maxoncomputer.com/index.asp?tutorialID=241) KevinA walks through the settings and concepts in lighting his stove with HDRI. It's a great way to get rolling with one of the outstanding new features in 8.1

Watch this thread for more 8.1 tutorials - we should have a great Matterwaves project up by the end of the day.

To those that haven't gotten the update yet or can't get it working, I'm truly sorry. I suppose it wouldn't be a MAXON update if all went smoothly. Hopefully we'll have more help for you a little later this evening (US time) as the German offices get humming again (Thursday Morning EuroTime).

To those that are up and running - don't play with Blurp, there's plenty in Matterwaves to keep you busy for a day or two. To help out, our tech support guys have put together a Matterwaves tutorial. (http://www.maxoncomputer.com/index.asp?tutorialID=242) Matterwaves provides some unique methods of controlling Thinking Particles and makes it easy to create some really cool effects. Have fun.
