The very first concept character to a magnificent "World of Chi", which environments and characters I have the honour to illustrate. Visit the link below to find out more :)

Her people have gray skin. Most are darker grey, but she is a lighter grey.
Her people grow tattoos on their body at around 12 years of age. Hers start
at three which is the sign of a great person. Most people also have them
all over her body, but she only has them on her arms.

She learns later, after her rescue by the eurfs**, that she can control her
tattoos, forming extremely sharp, unbreakable words from them. The tattoos
basically come from her arms and form swords in her hands.
She is of the race from across the Terrible Seas. She was a princess in her
lands before the hums came and starting enslaving her people. Her parents
were killed and she was taking and sold as a slave back in the lands of the
hums and min.

The min are against slavery and a group of min Rai were out on patrol one
day and say the way a group of traveling hums were beating their child
slaves (Kahbi and her brother, Kemnebi). The Rai leader could not stand it
so he intervened and the confrontation turned deadly for the hums.
The min Rai took her and her brother in and she was raised as though she was
the daughter of a powerful Rai lord. She is taught, and learns rather
quickly and skillfully, the swordsmanship of the Rai.
At the age of 15, she falls in love with the son of the Rai who took her in,
Kitai (17 years of age), and ends up killing her brother to protect her
love.

This destroys her and she runs away. She is captured, tortured, and raped
for days before being rescued by a eurf**. The eurfs teach her magic and
bestow a great staff made from a tree from the Forest of Angels, beset with
powerful gems.
