Hi all!

Even after 3 beer (might be the prob already) i just don't get it!

I'm trying my best in head-modelling, and to have a fine result and easy wireframe i descided to use nurbs like all the professionals of you out there do - i constantly fail!

i can model a wonderfull cage of nurbs point curves but then how do i get those damn things to form a surface ?
isn't there a simple modifyer like there is for patches ? simple splines are not as great to use when modelling (my opinion)

is it possible to build "sort of patches" from nurbs curves ? those loft-tools don't work on my curves....

*opening next beer*

Maybe you try out this tutorial for headmodeling:
http://www.secondreality.ch/tutorials/modelling/head.html

Btw. working with the Max-NURBS isn't very comfortable. There are other and better NURBS modeling tools out there - e.g. Rhino.

i would stay away from nurbs in max! your better off patch modelling or even better using sub d's

Sangit..
it depends on the curves itself..
Nurbs contain many great modifiers in it.

plz take a look at the max help file.. under nurbs you'll find these :

U loft
UV Loft
Cap Surfaces

max user guide is great with nurbs
