CGTalk - Dumb user of Blur Fire

Hi there, I'm trying to figure out Blur fire plug-in, I installed everything, Blur lib and fire, access the environment panel settings, choose blur fire but can't pick an object in the scene, whether it's an atmospheric gizmo or particle system. What am I doing wrong ?? I found no tut on this plug.
Any help would be appreciated.
