Is there something to determine the priority of the Net Render Clients? I'd like to have my faster machines get priority over the slower ones. As my observations go, I don't see any rhyme or reason to the delegation of the frames to the clients. Thanks...

Dumb question. Can someone delete this thread for me? I'm doing too many things at one time, sorry.

I don't think it's a dumb question, it's just not something that Net Render supports.
All clients will be handled equaly.

With my experience, this hasn't really been much of a problem. When the faster machine gets done, Net Render takes frames from the slower machine and reassigns them to the faster one, until the job is done.

Not always. The most frustrating thing is when one of the slower machines holds onto the last frame for what seems like forever. And then if I reset or stop and start the job that same machine will strangely pick that frame up again. Grrr. The other feature I've requested many times is some sort of grouping ability. Grouping and priority. I'm hoping in maybe 10.5?

As we get close to finishing, (Under 5%) we just drop off the older machines by simple turning them off. Or when we come in the final morning and start droppping then. Of course if you are working remotely, then the reset is all you have, at which point you are not there anyway. :)

Yes, that is partly why I said, "Dumb question" I figured that part out. However, I did see a situation where I had 4 machines online, 2 rendering, and 2 idle. It was close to the end of the process. The two rendering had one frame in queue and one actively rendering. The oddity is that the queued frames didn't release to the idle machines. Still haven't figure that one out...
