Get sure to get a grammar course too.

Musste das sein?
Ich glaube kaum, dass dich seine grammatikalischen Fähigkeiten zu interessieren haben.
Immerhin ist die CG-Society kein Forum für Schreibkünste.

Sorry for OT!

I believe that what scrimski (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=48634) was saying is that the "gangsta'" language you are using is not quite apropriate for this forum.I don't think he meant to be sarcastic...

Best regards!

Yea I think correct grammar will help your chances, people take you more seriously, but to the point of your question:
If you are willing to come to the UK, Teesside and Bournemouth both have good animation courses. They are considered to be the top 2 universities in the country. I dont think either of them just has a modeling course though. I am currently at Teesside doing a visual effects degree. That has modeling as part of the course, but also animation (CG and hand drawn), drawing and composition (life drawing, perspective and design), concept design (which contains script writing, storyboarding and animatic creation, and concept art), and study of animation and film through history. This gets more specific in the 2nd year and again in the 3rd year, but thats how it pans out to begin with.
If you want something that is very specific to medeling, you might want to consider gnomon school of VFX in California or somewhere like that?

Good luck

Nick

I recommend this school, apparently it is the best in Asia so says the newspapers

http://singapore.3dsense.net/home/

Course structure is something like this and last for about a year.

first 3 months traditional arts, that means sketching, clay sculpting(not sure if they removed this)
the rest of the other months are spent on 3D applications and theories like colour theory.
There is also a specialisation for advanced modeling.
You also need a portfolio and have to pass an interview with them.

edit:
forgot to mention that they do have masterclass session with some forum members here :D

if u don't care about the location....maybe u can go to Vancouver Film School in Canada
they have a 1 yr 3d animation + vfx program....
they teach all the things u want to learn....
so u get to choose if u want to specialize in animation, modeling, or vfx
go to vfs.com to check it out

Another institute would be Full Sail in Winter Park Florida. We have two programmers and an artist on our project that came from there. All three are very capable and competent individuals.
