View Full Version : Enough Retarded Camera Work, Already.

For nearly 10 years, now, CG camera work all looks like it was done by a guy in the middle of an epileptic seizure, who doesn't know how to use the focus ring, and apparently has absolutely no idea where the action is.

"Oh! Look! It's a zepplin, the size of a building, 100 yards away!" (Camera swings violently around, zooming in and out like an 80's video, desperately trying to find the center of action on a flying aircraft carrier moving 20 miles an hour, while trying to find focus. (Never does.))

That's enough, already. :) It's now a parody of itself. The original application of this technique, which was basically Star Wars Episode I, was used as though it was a combat photographer in the midst of intense, unpredictable action, while things were exploding in the immediate area. It was the first, last place this made any sense... It's just not that freaking hard to hold a camera steady!

Let's let this go the way of the overused lens flare, and shockwave explosion ring. It's too much, now... way too freakin' much. :)
