He's a weird looking fella isn't he? Oh and welcome on your first post!
Is there any particular reason why you chose not to give him a neck? What else have you got to do with him and what do you eventually have planned - he looks ripe for animation!

wow! thanks for the reply FallenSwordsman!

I'm hoping to rig him in the near future so I can use him as sort of a mascot for my website and demo. He is going to have a typical gangly, sort of clumsy, shyness about him. I decided to get rid of the neck so he can carry his head around if he wants, plus it has some great potential for secondary action ;)

Yeh, I was looking at your website last night after I saw this blue fellow. You have some interesting work there.

One of the things that struck me about this guy is that he looks like he could be made of plasticine - the eyes in particular look like something you could have shaped with your thumbs and I think that adds a bit of charm to him. A sort of Wallace and Gromit's sick cousin who they keep in the basement.

The unjoined head concept should work well - its like my mum used to say "You'd forget your head if it wasn't screwed on" - I can just remember this guy walking out the door and then thinking to himself "Dammit, forgot my head again"

He's got potential :)
