View Full Version : simple scripts making maya crash??

Hey all,

I'm having some issues when i'm just doing some easy scripts like combining values and feeding it into the rotation of some joints.
Maya isn't complainging about anything and just shuts down.

I have some similar scripts in the same scenefile and those ones worked fine so i really don't have a clue whats causing this.

Any hint would be awesome.

Unless it's something you're keeping under wraps, I think we would need to see the script to see what's happening. Otherwise anything I could say would be a complete guess at this point. Maybe post the script if it's not too big yet.

The thing is that its so easy it shouldn't even be called a script.. like

thingie.ry = thingie.rotateInput + thingie.sineWaveInput

and i know there is nothing wrong with the syntax..so not sure what makes it crash.
I have heaps of the same expressions added to other joints to add some free motion to the rig.

So i'm not sure if its the amount of expressions or something like that..?
