I hope someone can help me here...

I am currently working on a project for a client. He would like me to model some products for him in 3D and have them lit in a very realistic way.

I am not so bad at using Cinema 4D itself but the problem I am having lighting my products to appear realistic. I know C4D is very capable. But I am wondering if could emulate the images in the links below using Cinema 4D.

The links are: (images from these links were created using Lightwave)

Is it hard to achieve such effects? I would be grateful if anyone could provide me with techniques or direct me to tutorials that can help me do this with Cinema 4D.

Or if simply, can anyone create a simple step by step guide for me to be able to acheive such effects? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I need this for a project I am currently working on.

Thanks

well....i think it'd be too much to describe you the process of such lighting without even knowing your scene....well there's the link to jeremy birn's 'digital lighting & rendering'....a book more than useful concerning the above stated issues

I think you totally could light your projects I think you just need really good reference and go all out. Honestly for good lighitng it takes awhile. But I would suggest that you find some good ref. and base your lights off that. Good luck
