Hey everyone, I've been working on this portrait for a while now, but I think I'm starting to hit a massive wall... I know it needs work, but what is it? Composition? Rendering? Contrast? Balance? My eyes cannot tell anymore.
All critiques and advice would be much appreciated!

In my opinion the tears (so not the bloody ones but the others) are a little bit of an overblow on this one... they take away the focus from everthing else.

You should add some specularity to the tongue so it'll look more wet. It looks like some cloth now with the tex you are using now...

maybe this helps a bit? I'll watch this thread definetly again :P curious how this is going to turn out :D
