This one was done with the Surface Thickness Gradient with Luminosity and rendered in a room using only Radisosity.

anyone care to comment on how to make the images appear "in the thread" ?
What did I miss?
I always link my images to an outside host Deuce, cgtalk space/bandwidth is too limited
the green cow looks really good, the other one is too funky to tell what its main message is....I'm still on 7.5 so that maybe the reason why I dont fully get it

There is a new surfacing gradient called "Surface Thickness" -- these were created with that gradient mode.
Proton - no animation of the lumacow that I know of -- I'll poke him!

Deuce,
Thanks for that. The comment about pics showing or not. I thought my settings were mucked but it would seem it's the CGTalk new settings taking effect.
As to the cows, liked them both. Hope Patrik comes out with another book as I thought the first one was stellar and could rival the Inside series.
First one has too much going on to really see the effects directly; the ground tells the story, though.

Leigh, if someone else told me something like that I would teach them a lesson. In here you're excused.
Like the green cow myself actually:bounce:
