I just saw the ad for essence face: http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/books/essence/face/index.php

And i am very interested in buying it to learn more about face modelling, but the sample pages only have like 2 about modelling and about 50 about uv, texturing... Does anybody know if this books covers the modelling part intensivly too? And what technique do they use? poly by poly or box modelling?

Hey,

I ordered the DVD and Book a few weeks ago but haven't gotten it as of yet. I agree it looked a bit UV heavy but I can't imagine they would skimp on the modeling end. I don't expect any step-by step but rather a lot on theory, which in the end is more useful if you can already poly model. I'll post once I get mine though. Hope it's good.
