View Full Version : Can you embed a wire deformer?

I need to add wire blendshapes on top of other deformations. As an example of the problem in simplified form:

Create a polygon plane.
Create a sculpt deformer for the plane.
Create a wire deformer on the plane that passes though the area of influence of the sculpt deformer.

If you "bulge the plane" with the sculpt deformer the wire deformer will not act on those areas of sculpt influence that have been pushed out of the wire's range.

Is there any way to "embed" the wire in the plane such that it follows the deformations of the plane not made by the wire allowing it to always influence the plane? Or, is there any MEL script for this?

Thanks

If you select the plane, right click, go to Inputs and then All Inputs you can middle-mouse-drag the wire deformer to be lower than the sculpt deformer.

That seems to fix it!
