The art of xsi: what say you?

just got the pdf for the art of XSI, looks like a pretty informative book. what do you guys think.. both pro's and newbies.

It does look pretty nice..but from a cursory scan it seemed like you would have a hard time describing some of those things at newbie level in the few pages with illustrations.
