here's a short i've been doing for a couple of weeks (read 4 )

it is 75% caustics ,mostly using the xsi_loscope addon you can get here
xsi_loscope (http://4dw.net/photonmap/xsi_loscope.htm )

the other bits and pieces in there are nearly all some form of reflections / specular hits and refraction...... as you can see "light" is the 'theme' of the piece

the music is Harold Budd / Brian Eno from the album Plateaux of Mirror, i strongly recomend it

apologies for the file size, but after all, it is 3.5 minutes long, in glorious color

well here's some frames

and here's the link (best to save target as.....)

fluoresce (divx) (www.thejaco.com/tempstuff/fluoresce.avi )

enjoy

Beautiful... like northern lights from underwater... reminds me of "The Abyss". I love everything from Budd & Eno, and these pictures match very well with the immadry their music evokes. I think it will also kick when you project it on the wall on a party ;)

eugene, it looks very very cool... at least the first 14 sec... After that my picture freezes, the music still runs tho. Am I only one with that problem :surprised ?

...and gotta get my hands on that music :p

ohhh sparkly. :D

Other than that, it seems a little bit repetative in parts. That must have taken a while to render if it is done with the methods that I think it was done with.
