View Full Version : Selecting and moving entire object
Hello, I am new to Lightwave and am wondering how I can select and move entire object? Isn't there any component or object mode in this program?
Thank you.

There's just points and polygons. If you want to move the entire obejct, either don't select anything and then move, or select all polygons and move. To quickly select all polygons, just select one and then press "]", to select all connected polygons. Hope this helps!

Hi pika..
First of all.. Try to work with Lightwave modeler like you are working in Photoshop.. Use different layers for different objects..
When many thing is the same layer you can use Snap (Shift+g) and press n (numeric panel) choose drag set (Connected Points).. Now you can just drag the object you want to move..
You can also do it they way Ayreon told you..
But the best way is to learn how to work with layers.. When you load your objects in to Lightwave Layout all layers will work as different objects..
I hope this will help you..
Thank you very much! Yes you guys helped me a lot!
