I finally did my cross-platform upgrade from Mac 5.6 to Intel 7.0 (thanks for the price redux Newtek). Since I was on a buying frenzy i saw safe harbor selling Aura 2.0 for 399.00

Have any of you guys and gals used Aura before? Will this program end up like Insipre 3D and lose all support from Newtek?

Well, time to start learning Lightwave (again) after a hiatus of 2 years and bouts with Animation Master 99....

Aura is a great program. It has some great features, and a nice workflow like Lightwave. The media (brushes, paint, etc.) has to be some of the best I've seen.

I've heard that there is an Aura 3 in the works, but you never know what will happen. I'd recommend Aura 2, like I said, it's great!

I have only had a few chances to mess with aura 2, seems like a great tool, and has some unique paint features:lightbulb

hmmm...i guess its worth purchasing. safe harbor is selling the FULL version for 399 as opposed to the Newtek site's full price.

I'll one up you guys on the Q's...is there a tutorial site for Aura?

There are some in the Aura Section (http://newtekpro.com/AuraInsider/aura/) of the NewTek Pro site :)
