Hey peeps ive made a pretty cool looking procedural grid texture(supplied) with many options-but when you make a glowgrid and render it on some objects(see plane example) parts of it look like theyre breaking up or losing thickness. I cant figure out why. Ive got some pretty high render settings on it to crisp it up(which helps) but i cant get it perfectly smooth-any suggestions?

Im not to sure, but I think it has something to do with raising your RayDepth. I had this problem ages ago, and forget what I did, but it seems like that might of been it.

hello leadnut, I have the same problem with thin lines, specially in bump maps.

Sometime changing your sampling from mip, sat to square or circle can alleviate or worsen the problem, you can also try changing your antialiazing to sinc or other settings. I don’t have a good procedure here. Problem is that it is beyond the help manual unfortunately. One work around is to render larger than needed and down sample in Photoshop, you’ll get the crispness back.
