I apologize for the inconvenience, but we are going to move our DC_SIGGRAPH meeting from April 26 to May 2 so our animator folks can attend the Animator's Roundtable meeting scheduled for that night. Information on our chapter meeting and the Animator's Roundtable meeting are below.

As the animation industry changes, so do the needs and requirements of potential employers. Learn what some of the area's key professionals look for when hiring. Is it freelance? Full time? Generalist? Specialist? Internships? This meeting will give you the "Inside Scoop on Animation Gigs." This is NOT a job fair, but rather an opportunity to find out what clients and employers are looking for in freelance and full-time talent these days. Come early to the screening of work from this year's AU Film and Media Art students.

DC_SIGGRAPH's Annual Demo Reel Night – moved to May 2

What makes a good demo reel? How long should it be? How do I polish my portfolio for an interview at the SIGGRAPH conference? Students, professionals and hobbyists are invited to take part in DC_SIGGRAPH’s annual Demo Reel/Portfolio night. Join us in an open discussion of what works and what doesn’t when it comes creating an animation portfolio.

On Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007 DC_SIGGRAPH seeks to discover the answers to these questions at our Annual Demo Reel Night. Bring your VHS, DVD or laptop and meet us at BAE Systems from 7 to 9pm.

BAE is located at 8201 Greensboro Drive, Suite 1200, McLean, VA 22102.
