I'm presently revamping some pipeline tools and I want to create a windows shortcut in the scenes directory to the textures folder under sceneassets (we're using the standard max project folder setup).

I'm pretty sure you can't do this via the external file methods in max, so does anyone know offhand what the DOS or shell launch command would be?

If you can install an external application, here's the solution -> http://www.xxcopy.com/xxcopy38.htm

Hope it helps.

The windows server resource kit also got a 'shortcut.exe' to create shortcuts from the command line.

If you have cygwin on your systems as shell replacement you can use the standard ln to create shortcuts.
