PyrOmonkey 03-10-2003, 08:59 PM Here's the finished version of the BMW 325Ci ive been working on. I may eventually put it in a scene, but probably not any time soon, no spare time. Anyways, I hope you like it!

image shows up fine. i have an account at lycos.co.uk for all my picture hosting needs.. and works fine so far.
as for the picture itself, i cant comment on the actual shape of the car since im not car nut, but it looks fine to me.
only thing id say is that the lighting is a bit dark, giving it all a bit greyish dull appearance. crank it up a tiny bit

ok couple of suggestions.
the model looks good.
how ever the lighting/texturing isnt so great. The model is too dim in reflection and you have too much fall off on the color. Also, the chrome parts are not chrome at all...
What are you using to render?
Gremlin

I think the reflectivity should be turned up, and the glass should be less transparent... you dont see so easily into cars like that, plus, the back windows should be tinted cause that looks cooler! :D
great modeling tho, maybe just increase the overall lighting... seems a bit dark? :hmm:

cool image.
spend some more time geting the wheels right. look to surrland for how to model the tires. get some more detail behind the discs
and brighten it all up, more relections and den it will be even better. good work

Thanks for the comments
I had a go at retexturing the lights, and tinting the windows a bit, the lights are still not perfect, but they're better at least. The reflectivity of the car paint shader is fine, its just that there isnt much to reflect at the moment.
Here's a slightly bigger render too.
Thanks again!
Oh, im using 3ds max 5 with brazil for the render.

wow, excellent job on the wheels! Those are simply awesome looking.
The body of the car is great too, but has a few problem areas.. bumps and distortions creep up here and there.
But that interior... that thing needs to be re-done, it brings the quality of the car waaay down.
