Thought this might be of interest to a number of folks, upgrade to/buy AE7, get free upgrade to AECS3, save $100.
I was looking to upgrade to AAE CS3 when it came out, but noticed a special, that it would be cheaper if you are on 6.5 or earlier...
Right now Adobe has this deal where you can upgrade from After Effects Pro 3,4,5, or 6, to After Effects 7 Pro for $199, and if you upgrade between March 27, 07 and Aug. 28, 07, you can a free upgrade to AE CS3 until Sept. 12.
Price to upgrade from AE Pro 3-6 to AEP 7: $199
Price to upgrade from AE Pro 3-6 to AE CS3: $299
