alright guys i need some advice....I had a friend try to help me out but i'm going around in circles so here it goes.
I want to get into video and animation so I have Maya 4.5, Photoshop, Illustrator, and I'm gonna get Adobe After Effects here soon. What I need to know is memory and video card issues. here is my proposed setup:
amd system, probablly 1.8 or higher More than likely a 2.1 and motherboard specs
Epox Motherboard for AMD, Socket A Processors, Model EP-8K9AI
Specifications:
CPU Supported: AMD Athlon/Athlon XP/Duron
Chipset: KT400 Chipset + VIA VT8235
FSB: 333MHz
IDE: 2x E/IDE Ultra DMA/133
RAM: 3 x DDR SDRAM PC3200, 3GB max.
Slots: 1x AGP(8x), 5x PCI
Ports: 2x PS/2 Mouse/Keyboard, 2x Serial, 4x USB
Onboard Audio: Realtek ALC201Aintegrated sound
ATX form factor more info>
budget for video is 200 to 300 (I hear Redeon 9700 Pro and then I hear Geforece Nvidia 4600) Which is better or recommend one (but I want it also for games also but more on the animation side) I would say Animation - Great Games - Good/Above Average.
Then memory, does it matter for the brand such as Crucial or Kingston and the 2100, 2700 etc.
Thanks.
