Hello,
I decided to join this hard core modeling challenge with Robert De Niro who is one of favorite actors. I am not sure if I can finish it in time or not. But I would like to challenge myself.
I was looking for some reference for Traivs Bicke in Taxi Driver. When Robert De Niro was most skinnest back in that time. But, there are just few low-re picture references availible out there. Picture I post below was made by myself in photoshop usying two snap shot from the movie. http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k54/taeyoung1004/Travis_Bickle.jpg
Is there anyone out there, has better references? Please give me some help. I would probably make a model looking at regular Robert De Niro pictures and try to match to Skiny Travis later.
It is time to modeling! Exciting!

This is what I have so far. I am worrying about the time I have to finish.
I am looking at the lots of reference shot from the God Father. I think that is why he looks little old now. I like the bit older look better.http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k54/taeyoung1004/Travis_Bickle-1.jpg

Hey Tae. That's actually looking very good. I was going to do Travis Bickle as well, but I too had difficulty finding good references for this character. Also, some work came up so I gave up on him.

I really like how he's coming out. The likeness is immediately recognizable. The one thing that does seem a bit off is his neck. Seems too wide for the skinny Deniro of those days, but that's probably due to the refs that you're using. I think it will all come together as you move along with this piece. Keep it up.

Attached ears to the face
It is getting really slow for the face so I think it is time to jump to body.

before jumping to the body, I did some render test with Movie shot project on the model. I kind of like it. As you can see the texture are projected, so it is little off at the edges.

You have a very good model that meets the requirements of the challenge.
If you have not done so already, you should post it on the voting thread:
