I have done this playblast animation in maya just to test my character´s rigging and improve my animation skills.
...err... the rig is quite simple, and for the animation crits and comments are welcome (I think that It's a lot better knowing errors before start rendering :) )
The model is the one I did for the October WIP Challange http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21609

Here's the URL: http://www.greydot.it/ani/anitest.avi
PS: the file is almost 3mb. It'seems I'm not able to set Dvix compression option...

Thanks

YEAH!!

I like it man!
I think the camera moves are totally unnecessary though. I think you should apply a little more anticipation to it...its a little stiff right now...but a fantastic start!!

Probably about the camera you're right, Savage Henry. But my old man moves quite a lot and a still camera is not enought, and I don't like the bezier feeling of a "clean camera moving"...
This Weekend I'm going to try fix a little the camera and make it more stable.

Thanks a lot !

PS: I'm looking for the music... any suggestion? The classic Once up on a time in china is good, but too much obvius...
PPS: A frined of mine said me that the torso is too much stable... Damn he is right :annoyed: ... It's a matter of the rig...

Yeah...try a few new moves with the camera. I'm sure you'll come up with something a little less jarring.

About the music...to be honest, the first thing that came to my mind was the JXL remix of "Litlle Less Conversation" by Elvis Presley. Got a old shool feel...but upbeat enough to go with the fast motion. Give it a shot man.
