Hi I'm still new to any topic on 3D, and i've been searching for some good NURBS modeling tutorials -video tutorials would be the best-, but haven't found any good ones. Can anyone tell me just why there are all the poly-tutorials, and almost no NURB tutorials? And i've heard that people are moving away from NURBS, even for production, because of more control over the modelling. Is this true? should i stick with poly-modelling (i already know these methods), or should i learn NURBS and go with them for future modelling? What is best for production purposes?

If anybody know about any great NURBS tutorials, please tell me where to find them! Thanks in advance :)

Is this true?
Nope. Read the 'Are NURBS still used and you will see that NURBS are still widely used.

Renderosity.com has some Rhino3d tutorials.

If you are using 3dsMax, do yourself a favour and don't use them, 'cooz they suck big time(in 3dsMax). There is a free beta version of a NURBS-modeller called Moment of inspiration, nice stuff, try out.
