View Full Version : Help Longitude latitude In Maya

Hi all together
I have create a Sky and some Fluids clouds in Maya and want now render out a Longitude latitude Picture.

have anybody a idea or a solution to render out in Maya a Longitude latitude Rendering from my 3d Scene.

i have tryed trhe Script from Highend3d but it dont work realy correct.

If you are using Maya 8 or 8.5 you could use the physical sun sky... actually.. theres a script from yashu, that uses the sun node that uses Longitude and Latitude and it will create the right position of the sun for you.. using the sun node that comes with Bonustool...maybe it can help...

This requires a lens shader that distributes rays 360 degrees horizontally, and 180 degrees vertically. It just so happens that we make such a lens shader for training class. We call it an equirectangular lens shader. You then set your image resolution to 2:1.

It will be included in the upcoming book, Writing mental ray Shaders.

It works great for quicktime vr as well.

Its a fairly simple shader. There must be a third party one out there.

Hi guys thanks for your replies.

But i am looking for something its free.

Currently i am testing a free Script called LatLong Lens wich is free and working fine.

You can try with the MR_aperture lens shader. I donīt know where can you get it though.
