Spider Mech, Spider Mech does whatever a um....spider can.

Yeh nice little model this. The legs look like they are one solid mass, however, so it looks like the joints won't move. I like the eight eye thing going on there though.

the main body could use a little more techie detail iŽd say.. otherwise it looks like if just the legs were mechanical. but maybe thats the idea... hmm.

FallenSwordsman what should i do with legs. could you give me some advice ?

I think for the legs, the main thing you should look at is creating seams at the joints so that each part of the leg looks like a separate entity from the previous part held together at that joint. . I've tried to find a picture to illustrate what I'm trying to get at, but haven't been able to find one anywhere...so hopefully you get what I mean. At the moment, from what I can see, the legs don't look as if they can move since there is no seam for them to articulate with.

Oh and one more thing, Sir
*Columbo voice off*

Have you ever played the Playstation game "Ghost in the Shell" or seen the anime - they had a couple of spider-bots in that which you might get some ideas off - I think they had some in the original "Akira" comic book as well which didn't appear in the film. The Japanese seem fond of their mechanical spiders....I seem to remember a couple appearing in the Deus Ex computer game too - tough little critters they were.

maybe you could model the main body as if its made out of several metal plates, instead of this round organic shape right now...
