The boat is pretty cool, good work! In some parts you should decrease the bumpmap in order to avoid this "plastic" look you have in some parts.
Wtf happened to your picture that is showing the scene? It seems as you just pasted it Photoshop below a lightwave window, there are some erazor brushes at the bottom parts, what about that? Everybody can see that it's "just" painted and not rendered :shame:
I like the house, as well, even if there is something wrong with the roof. It all looks too plastic, the lightning is too bright. I like the job you did on the wood wall

hey s3rial very cool sketches and modeling man!!!!but i think that the house should be a little less wide, when i see the sketch i imagine a smaller house.....and you could work some more on the boat material;it is stretched at someplaces....i really like the plastic look..it's different....and that's all for now!!
ps.:cANt,he's just trying to show us how will the image looks like when it is finished!!

Great style, I like the boat and the house. Very detailed.
I don't like the shingles on your house...modern clay style on an old rickety house...maybe go for some type of thatching or wooden style shingles...that would make it look a little better IMO...good job though...keep it up:thumbsup:

What happened to the circular windows from the sketch, They would look so kool! The boat is awesome and, apart from what has been said about the house, it is awesome too :applause: :applause:

the texturing work is very interesting and modeling looks really good.
If the screen showing the full scene is what will the final 3D scene look like, let me tell you that the ambience is not the same we can see on the roughs, which give a more 'rocky' feeling, instead of jungle environnement. Toobad, the drawing gave a better ambience :)

Thanks all for replyes!!!
yes, it's a bit differente from the sketch, even the squared windows
the scene is just a sketch painted in photoshop, as some of you might noticed.
the house is not textured yet.. i'll do this later.
The texture of the boat is a procedural. I have used weight maps.

wow really nice. I like the style. Very detailled. But the textures. Especially the ones of the boat. Really need some tweaking. It looks a litlle bit like fake wood made out of a shiny metal. I would try to reduce th specularity and the diffuse amount. Maybe some not procedural planks covered with a foto of wood might help getting some nice effects and difference into the picture. But the modelling's just great!
you said it is for an animation. That sounds very promising...
