Hello....so I'm trying to get something quite wet and damp....the scene takes place in a forest.......it's dawn.....and actually, my scene has quite a lot of contrast and colour.....so for something wet, would I need to have lights more desaturated and gray or is it mainly a shader problem?
cause the thing is...if I increase the specular of the wood.., .....it doesn't fit as it seems..varnished...
I've seen that quite a lot of concept artists blur a lot their images to make an atmoshere damp...
so should I do this in post production.....or only blur the specular pass and make it overflow a bit?
thanks a lot

This is a tricky situation. Not easy to pull off. Post some WIP's.

What you might want to try is adding a spec map to your geo. That way you control where and what picks up specular. If everything has an even amount of spec, yes it will look varnished or plasticy.

I would also add some ground fog. If done correctly, it should help give the illusion of moisture in the air.
