View Full Version : Movie Clip from Stills
BUZZFX 04-12-2007, 08:38 AM i have rendered some stills from my3D application that i want to turn into a movie clip. Is there a software out there that is simple to use for this? I don't want to spend a lot of money.
Jashaka
I looked at Jashaka, but it seems a lot of people on their forum are unhappy with it. Have any of you tried it? and What do you think of it?
Any other editing or compositing applications you would recommend?

VirtualDub, iMovie or Moviemaker - depending what OS you are running. When using 3dsMax this is possible by creating and editing an *.ifl file.

QuickTime Pro has worked very well for me...
File -> Open Image Sequence, locate the 1st file of your image sequence, pick your frame rate.
At that point you can either save as a self contained file (your image sequence wrapped in quicktime - NOT re-compressed)
or as a "reference" file...basically a small quicktime file that contains the frame rate and a pointer to where each frame of video is located on your hard drive. Saves hard drive space :)
Other apps that come to mind, shake, afx, combustion...
And I'm sure there are some freeware/shareware apps out there...
hope that helps...

Yes, it really helps me to create a QuickTime movie form tga sequence. But if i need to create an AVI file from TGA sequence in Adobe Premiere, where i can change a frame rate for playing? Yes, in the begining i choose DV-PAL system with 25 fps, but after importing a sequence of TGA files and pushed PLAY, y got the same very slow screen playing. With QuickTime i havent any troble... Any ideas?
