View Full Version : Animation: Walk Cycle...and a run one too...
jjburton 03-10-2003, 12:34 AM This is my final project for my intro to Maya class. We got to choose from a list of things we wanted to do and I picked the walk/run cycle. This is also my first venture at 3d character animation in Maya. The character was modeled and textured using Lightwave and then rigged, animated and rendered using Maya. Any crits would be greatly appreciated.
The codec is Divx 5.02.
Here's the title screen so you can see if you want to bother to download it:)

canīt give you any tips on fixing since did my last walk cycle couple of years ago.
but right now his walk doesnt seem fluid enough. he seems to be abruptly jerking back his shoulders while walking, and bringing them back way too far. when viewed from the front his hips seem to sway a little too much
*bump* hopefully someone can give you more indepth tips than i can.

Thanks Stimpy,
Thought I was done:). Figured that out. I had my tangents set to linear in Maya, fixed those and it's much better. Thanks again.
