Hello all,
I am using lighwave 7.5 and 9.0. (Depending on where I am working school or home). I assume this problem could happen in any 3D application. I am modeling a car and using splines to draw the curves. I then merge the tips together and fill it in with a spline patch. This essentially fills in the area between the splines with polygons.
Anyways, I moved over to layout and did some renders but I noticeable lines in my mesh. You can see where the splines were originally. See images below.
This image shows where the lines show up on the other image. I just painted over them in red so you know where to look on the render.

This is a render without the red so that you can see the actual problem.

Any ideas what is causing this?
Here are 2 possible solutions I thought of that have NOT worked:
1. Merge points: there were two points at each corner where to polygons met. Helped a little bit but lines are definitly still visible.
2. Delete orignal splines: I deleted the splines after filling in the polygons.
Neither of these seemed to help.
Thanks!
