CGTalk - Vue File Renderer in Max9?

View Full Version : Vue File Renderer in Max9?

I want know what is the Vue File Renderer in Max9.
In Max9 I see available the following Renderer (Rendering>Render...>Common Tab>AssignRenderer>Production):
-Default Scanline Renderer
-mental ray Renderer
-Vue File Renderer:
1) What is it? Where I can get information about it?

2) Also I want know why is not possible to render with "Default Scanline Renderer"?
If I switch to this, I get the following message:
Function unavailable!
Current renderer is not supported by Vue 6 Xstream. As a consequence, Vue scene will not be rendered.

The vue file format isn't related to e-on vue :) It's an ASCI file format, it can be used, for example by World Builder

And, you can only use the mental ray render engine with vue in max, it's a limitation, there's no way for you to use the scanline engine (unless you take the compositing way of course :) )
