Hi,
IŽll have to work on a scene shortly, where the following issue will be handled:

A 3d-object refrigerator, textured with images made with a digital cam (the usual jpegs),
will be populated by a few (small) persons filmed greenscreen. the people will be on little polygons (with alpha) positioned on the trays in the fridge.
My problem is how to handle the cineon 32 bit files of the people.
How to cope with that mix of linear (fridge textures) and logarithmic (cineon files of the people) colourspaces in cinema 4d?
How should cinema be set up for this, and what do I have to take care of?

Thanks a lot for any help or tips

Regards
holger

Sounds to me like you have a compositing task I personally would use Shake to put it all together, or AfterEffects its just I know Shake better and its ability to handle cineon files.

you would either preconvert your log files to linear in shake and then use them in cinema or render both elements seperately out of cinema and do the conversion/compositing within shake. you won't be able to mix lin and log within cinema.

Thanks, that was what I figured up till now.

I just did the lining up, rendered in layers and did the log/lin conversions in composition.

Thanks
Holger
