Well, it started out being about hands... D: Sorry, I've had a relatively bad day. I didn't seen any rules against macabre or gore, so I hope this is all right.

Although not exactly pleasant to look at. I'll probably try again in another hour or so.

Photoshop, 36 min.

Great sketches, everyone!

Inked3DGirl: Awesome work. A truly imaginative scene from a great movie :)

Here's my sketch, an intergalactic handyman...

Inked3DGirl : Awesome and very clever!

I have been trying hard to experiment with different styles and learn from other artist. Two that I have been looking at closely lately is James Jean and Scottie Young. Check them out if you don't know who they are thier stuff is amazing. So in the tradition of trying to color inside the lines.

Robertt- nice beastie you've drawn there, my favourite so far.

Here's my attempt: 45mins in Photoshop, I watched "The Fog" on TV this weekend so some spooky hands emerging from the swirls of misty fog seemed like the way to go....

I thought my first attempt was not too good, the proportions were off a bit. the hand part is too long for the fingers. So I did a second one. It came out a bit off too lol (i was going fast!). The thumb is too big I think. I had a good time doing them, I hope to do more of these so I can get used to this dang Wacom. Both 25 minutes or less in PS with my Wacom.

I like the colors in the first image. I think the hand looks great except the pinky is too small. The second image is not as strong. The colors don't really match the style or pose and I think the proportions are little off. However, that's what sketches are for right? Live and learn, good luck with your new WACOM.

Twistercash
Very cool. I like what you did with the sketch. It reminds me of the DAFTPUNK movie "Interstella 5555" Nice work!

Inked3Dgirl
Very ambitious. Love the flow of the last two hands. The hands in the foreground are a little off, but o well.

Hands are so hard to get right somtimes. Great job guys!

Thanks Y'all, I'll try to post an update with some fun options to my sketch, its funny because you can tell I was drawing referencing my hands..long skinny fingers:)
Knakker: I love the look to your hands! Gerat color variation, I wanted to do color, but that would be a little time consuming
Twistercash: Awesome perspective and stylization! Keep up with your twisted perspectives!
Robert: I like painter, its a fun program, nice alien dude, love the long fingers:)
Thanks Embryonic!
Keep it up peeps!

Inked3DGirl - very creative idea indeed. One thing though...I can not figure out which hand that upper teeth/finger tips belong to. ;)

twistercash - the point of view, the posture, the hair combination conveys the mood, the dynamism very nicely. Good foreshortening also.

Smokin - :) good execution, very cute!

Mine is about contact juggling. ~20min + PS + wacom

Thanks:) the teeth were last minute " this might be fun" thing...maybe it will go better if I ever update it! Gulcan, my only suggestion (cuz other than that, I love your pic) ...where the hand meets the ball, to darken the points of contact..kinda like putting your hand on clear glass, and seeing the pressure marks.....or funny ass face pressed on glass is a good ex. too:).. It sorta looks like the ball is drawn on top of the hand. Thanks!

Inked3DGirl - Good eye. I was taking a short cut with all that extra details. Just being lazy. Hey! the topics is "Hands" and I sketched a hand... :) I appreciate the constructive criticism though. Thanks.
