My entry for the Game Art Competition, the Red Giant from FF8. He's essentially a larger red version of the standard Iron Giant.

Looks good Google around for it to make it better.
Looks weird somewhere i just can't put my finger on it.
Are you going to place his sword in his hand? Or you used all the 2500 poly's?

He's at 2496 right now, I guess the sword will have to be a prop for the beauty render.

Oh and I'm sure you can cut a lot of polys. In his Hands for example. His Feet are VERY heavy too. Are his eyes a texture? Because if they aren't, this is a possibilty too...
The eqipment as props for the beauty render smells like kinda cheating to me :shame:

Updated picture, I lowered the shoulders and made the chest bigger.
I'm in the process of removing some polies from the feet and arms. The hands are about 40 polies each, not much to take away there. If I can get enough polies, I'd like to add some more detail to the chest and back.

Fixed the pose of the legs, added some musculature to the arms, managed to drop the polycount to 2200 from 2490.

Very good. I think you could go even further but the deadline comes nearer. One thing I've noticed - the feet are not pointy enough. They are much larger in the Original. Looks kinda unstable now. Might be also just the perspective.

Made the legs larger in proportion to the rest of the body. As soon as I finish making the sword, I start texturing.

hey hows this one coming? slap that texture on it! :p and submit before the comp ends. nice model, if the texture is as highquality youll have an excellent entry!
