Title: Emus - The unlucky one
Name: Morten Jacobsen
Country: Norway
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop

This is my first real character I've ever made for a school project. We were supposed to modell and texture a human alike character with two legs.
I wanted to make a fantasy guy based on a "house-elf" (ex. Dobby from Harry Potter) with an alien brain. But one day during cooking he hurt himself badly in an accident, and as a result of that he lost his legs from his hips and down. But because of his alien brain, he is very smart, and therefore he rebuilded his new legs with objects such as a shock absorber, cogwheels, pump, wood and different metall. Everything is also connected with cables from his brain.
Hope you like the concept, and since this is my first real character, all critique is welcome.

Nice render using SSS and good texture mapping. I like it! Its a nice technical piece. :) Your model seem to have some anatomical quirks, but this will come with practice practise practice. :) Keep it up!

I agree with the other comments, but you could of maybe with what you have, made the render more interesting by posing it in an interesting pose..its to ..well dead, unreal posture. But for the first character, you have definetly got a career/money out of this ;)
