View Full Version : Import 3dsmax or FBX file with animation?

Hi, I'm trying to port an animated model (box bones+skin) from 3dsmax to Cinema4D R10.I tried the FBX format as C4D R10 is supposed to accept it but after importing the scene there is no animation at all.

Anybody knows how can I do that? is there any other plugin I can use?

Have u tried the lastest FBX plugin from Autodesk? version 2006.11.1 maybe

That's the one I'm using. I even tried with previous versions but I got always the same result.

hey jesped, I am somewhat looking for the same solution but from maya to cinema4d instead. Apparently the FBX seems to not be much help unless you have a plugin to bake all the vertex information.

hope you get an answer cause I have somewhat given up and settled for a maya all the way solution for this one project. I will return to this sort of pipeline when I can find the time and search for a proper solution
