Hi,

I'm working on a ufo for an animation in Maya. But I do have a problem :annoyed:

When I move the ufo one flap will move faster than the ret of the model. The flap is linked on bone which will move normel with the ufo. All the stuff is linked to a locator so I can move the ufo easy. The other thing (flaps and standards etcetera) are linked the same way I did with this flap. They will move normal, but this one won't . Anyone any idea what I did do wrong?

Thanks.

Check if there's model history on the misbehaved flap.
Also look for double transformation in the flaps hierarchy or for any type of expressions or constraints that invole the flaps.

yep, sounds like a double transformation, did you happen to delete history or freeze transformations on the piece?

Yep, the history was deleted. I fixed it via another way. There's just one shot the flap goes open to get a standar to stand on let out of the ufo. So I detached the flap from the bone. The shot were the flap will go open the ufo doesn't move itself, so for that shot I'll attach the flap to the bone. Maybe a little onortodox way of working, but it works :)

But very thanks for your both help

you could also try turning off inheritsTransforms for the flap..
