I know this is probably not a good place to ask about this but i am wondering if any compositors have ever seen a shadow pass like this. I am using a physical shader in XSI and every time i look at this it looks weird when i composite this in Photoshop and AE toward my diffuse.

Is it possible someone can help me with this issue...

Thanks

Do you get the same results if you don't use the physical shader?

I did this in a new scene with the same physical shader in a fresh scene and I didn't get this result... but this is a strange looking pass...

I don't have any experience with xsi, but I'm presuming you're using mentalray and in that regard I might be able to help you. Are you using mentalray?

Yes, I am using Mental Ray and I also using mia_material for shading...

next step. Are you using mentalray standalone, or an integrated version with xsi? can you pm me your mi files if using standalone?

I am using the MR Renderer that in integrated into XSI...and I think I just found out that it could been the shaders i am using to render all of this stuff...
