The movie will be set on the modern day, and we will need A LOT designs.
Some of the concept art we need are:

The Prince & Slave of the Magic Mirror
These are the rules:

it seems you mixed up two fairytales by the brothers Grimm
Snowwhite (Schneewittchen in german)
and
Snowwhite and Rose-Red (Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot)
wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_White_%28disambiguation%29 ) seems to agree...
(since i'm new, this post will first be validate so it may appear too late... sorry!)

YES! My sister and I have done Snow White in modern times before, now all I have to do is transfer that to a Photoshop sketch.

heres another character
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/6408/snowwhitesmlzm9.jpg
maybe Snow was abducted by a family when she was a child waiting for her to turn 18 and claim a bunch of cash or whatever, Snow feels trapped in her fake life and runs from home meeting 7 streetwise children and tries to help them, her evil stepmother disguises herself as a homeless woman and gifts snow with a red apple ipod which thru subliminal messages warps her mind to come back home... or something like that.

I've never entered the daily sketch before. Just thought I'd give it a try. Here's my photoshop sketch of red rose and snow white. I did them in about 50 minutes.

A third sketch, this time the "Magic Mirror" character. He is presented here as a modern day makeover maven standing beside his favorite mirror and meeting with the wicked witch:

Nice sketches everyone! I especially enjoy loner-xtreme!
So last year my sister had this idea to make a modern fashion line of Disney-character-themed clothes. I drew up some concepts and I decided to redo my original Snow White concept in photoshop for the DSF. Hope you like :D

Ah, what a cool topc. I may have time to do something for this later.
In the meantime, this topic totally reminds me of Fables, the Vertigo comic series, in which fairytale characters have been exiled to present-day New York. Snow White and Rose Red are both prominent charcters in the story.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fables_(comic)
And James Jean does some AMAZING cover work for the series. You guys should check it out if you're unfamiliar with his art; it would be good inspiration:

CaveatScoti, I love that sketch. The snow white im working on would look perfect posing in front of all those Dwarves. Nice job renaming them too...perfect.

Ok this is only my second submission to the DSF. I decided that a Snow White in 2007 would have a lot less clothing and a lot more...curves. After a quick search on Google with the words "Snow White" I found a ref pic even more scandalous than this. about 3 hours over 1 week.
