hello all, this is basicaly my first xsi model and my first go at high poly modelling for a school prject, we had one week to design and build the model and now one week to texture him. id like some crituque on him if theres any odd edge loops or whatever :D and ignore the glow i still need to tweek it alot :beer:

i think you should try to subdivide him a bit more in some areas instead of pulling the points out until it looks like the shape you want it to be.

like in the shoulder area, and back.

will make everything else like animating and texturing him easier methinks...

good job though on the execution, from concept to model

Very well done, you certainly achieved the likeness from your concept. Actually this 3d version looks better than the original sketch. :thumbsup:
I agree with Stimpy about the upper arm and shoulder needing a few more sections. Looking forward to seeing your ideas for the texturing.

i agree with stimpy.... usually its best to have the wire geometry look like the concept, and use the subdivision to just smooth it; instead of relying on the subdivion to smooth the geometry into the shape of the concept....

it that makes any sense :rolleyes:

Sweet work dude!

I'd maybe thicken up the arms and legs a bit, only because if you end up rendering him from a distance, they might dissapear altogether!

lol yah never thoguh about the arms and legs from a distance, heres an update, texure is about 60% done, gonna redo the arms and fix alot around the mouth are, any crits or suggestiosn are welcome:applause:
