View Full Version : Simple blurry reflection problem

Hi, I feel a bit dumb asking this but I have to, im wasting too much time trial and erroring.

Im using 3dsmax 8, rendering using mental ray, all im looking to create is a shader that reflects its environment but blurs the reflection heavily at the same time.

I would have thought using a simple raytrace material and applying a noise mat (with blur and blur offset turned up) in the reflect slot would do the job, however all I constantly recieve is a perfectly mirrored reflection surface.

Any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
