Im just curious if there is any way to keep the size and proportions
of every polygon of an object by just moving a single element?
Its kind of hard to explain but imagine you have square plane divided
into 10x10 polygons, laying flat on the ground.
Currently if you select one of the middle polys and just raise it in the Y direction,
all the neighbouring polygons will be forced to stretch/deform so that
they no longer are perfect squares.
Is there any way of making all the surrounding polygons keep their size/proportion
and just follow the selected polygon like a chain by translating and rotating.
The closest thing I can think of is using cloth but it doesnt work out while modeling
is there any technique to make this possible while modeling?
In other words Im looking for a way to deform objects without stretching them.
Thx for listening/AquaStealth
