View Full Version : avoiding flikering without increasing fg rays
royterr 04-05-2007, 02:43 AM i am rendering an animation in a big city, my lighting is working fine, it's taking me 2 hours to render a frame (wich is correct for me)
i am using fg with:
300 rays
1.5 max 0.15 min.
but due to the low number of rays i am having some flickering. Is it possible to find a workaround without touching the fg values and the number of rays?

try increasing fgrays density.
btw, use the new multiframe fg mode if you're animating with mray3.5.

Try increasing the FG filther value to 1 or 2.

ok it seems that turning point density to 10 is fixing the problem with a low number of rays.
Great!
i just hope there is no side effects.
