Hallo, I'm newbie.
I would know if my idea is stupid or I can work on it.

I have a 3d image of a room.
I would create a script to let a user changing the poster on the walls of my room.
So the poster is 2d.

Can I with script (phyton) do this?
I can set coordinates of my posters.. or size.. and then automatically re-create my 3d image?

thank you and sorry for my bad english

If You're going to use Blender's internal renderer, You don't have to make tricks with python to achieve Your goal.
Download Blender 2.43 branch and make good use of Compositor's UV Map node
http://www.blender.org/development/release-logs/blender-243/composite-uv-map-displace-id-mask-and-z-combine/

Or just use Gimp/Photoshop... :)
