this may not seem finished... but they are in my book. They're in class (digital) paintings, both at 2 hr poses. i moved a little too slow in that second one... guess i was caught up in the red :)

im trying to find a way to harmonize the sketchy underlaying drawing and finished painting... its gonna take me a bit but im workin on it. im learning about color... and thats all that matters :D

words?

Even if the first girl is fat and ugly, you shouldn't make the title of this toppic: "objects" ;)

I like it pretty much, nice color tones. The second one looks definietly unfinished. If you want to achieve a fitting look, the background color shouldn't be red, but a bit more fitting to the rest. How're they done? Digital paintings or real?

i really like the 2nd one actually, with her kind of emerging out of the red..

hah. well i didnt know what to call this... and after reading the rather threatening rules i decided just to stick by the "book."

the background was red not as a background, but as a "toned canvas." i know what you're sayin about it feeling unfinished, i really like what was happening, i just didnt have time to finish it in 2hrs. :(

they are all digital. I approached my painting prof with the idea of doing figure painting digitally, and he was all for it. sooooo, i lug my computer to school, put it on a cart, and take it to thepainting studio and paint the figure. i print them weekly on large format printers.

here is another more finished one, self portrait... ~1hr

Your second female image is the most beautiful. Perhaps the red tone could have some texture while maintaining redness.
